Hi,
I have searched FAR & WIDE for information about specific whole foods to eat after a workout (not dextrose and whey). I understand that a shake is "the best," but I want to eat whole foods after my workout. I have seen everything from corn flakes, milk and chicken to yogurt to fruit + a lean meat, etc. There seems to be no consistency.
So, high glycemic carbs, protein and little or no fat. I have researched the ratios of carbs to protein--I am just looking for some SPECIFIC food combinations. FYI: I am a female and eat between 1600-1800 calories per day. I try to keep each meal around 300 calories.
Please help.
