Hello! Whenever I see a garage sale, flea market, or exchange store I always look around for kitchen products. If I see cast iron I snag it up if it's in decent condition. Though 'decent condition' really isn't an issue because if someone is going out of their way to buy cast iron they, for the most part, understand the maintenance that goes into having such amazing cooking gear. I have two cast iron frying pans and a cast iron dutch oven. I love them. The dutch oven is great for meats or even desserts in the oven. The first thing I ever made in it was carmel dumplings. I use the cast iron on the stove. Stainless steel is my pots of choice. But for a pan that I'm cooking on a coil stove the cast iron equally holds the heat instead of being random heat like other pans I've known to use.
